Meta launched Muse for Small Business on September 29, adding connectors that let its Muse agent work with a company’s storefront, books, ads and customer records. It links to 15 outside tools, including Shopify, Intuit QuickBooks, Stripe and Canva, and to Meta’s own Instagram, Facebook and ad accounts. Muse is free for most uses, with paid plans for more.
New to this? Read it in simple words
- Meta made an AI helper called Muse that can do tasks for you.
- Now it can help small shop owners with sales, ads, email and bills.
- It connects to tools that shops already use, like Shopify and QuickBooks.
- Meta says it will not post, send or buy anything without the owner saying yes.
- AI agent
- An AI program that takes steps on its own to finish a task.
- Connector
- A link that lets one app read or use data from another app.
- Subscription
- A regular payment, often monthly, for extra features.
What it does
Owners connect their tools, and Muse learns “what you sell, what your brand sounds like, and what customers keep asking you about”, Meta says. It can analyse sales, draft ad campaigns, flag emails that need a reply and look for unusual expenses.
The 15 outside tools include Shopify, Intuit QuickBooks, Stripe, Canva, Slack, Notion and Zoom. Muse can also read Instagram professional analytics, Facebook Pages and Meta ad accounts.

Price and control
Muse is free for most uses, with subscription plans for more. Neither Meta nor the reports give a price.
“You’re in control: nothing publishes, sends, or spends without your approval,” Meta writes. When Muse launched, Meta said people choose which apps it connects to and how much access it gets.
The bigger push
The launch came a day after Meta announced Meta Enterprise Platform, which sells its AI tools, including Muse, to businesses and developers.
Meta is trying to earn money from AI beyond advertising, Reuters notes. Market intelligence firm Sensor Tower estimates Muse was downloaded about 2.8 million times in its first two weeks, according to Reuters.
