Add it in three steps

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Silicon AI News and paste this address:
    https://siliconainews.com/mcp
  3. Start a new chat and ask about AI news. Claude uses the connector when it helps. You can switch it on or off in the chat’s tools menu.

Don’t see Add custom connector? Your Claude plan may not include it yet. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an admin adds connectors for everyone.

Try asking

  • What are today’s most important AI stories?
  • What does Silicon AI News say about AI chip export controls? Show the sources.
  • Which AI model is best for coding right now, and what does it cost?
  • How is Nvidia connected to OpenAI?
  • Which AI topics are rising this week?

What it can do

  • Latest news: the newest edition, or only one topic, such as chips or policy.
  • Search: every story we have published, by company, product or idea.
  • Read a story: the lead, a beginner version, how we checked it, and every source with its link.
  • Connections: how companies, products and laws are linked in our knowledge graph.
  • Compare AI models: which model is best for chat, coding, images and more, with prices.
  • Trends: which topics are rising or cooling in our news this week.

Good to know

  • Free, with no account. You don’t sign in or share any personal details.
  • Read-only. It can only read the stories we have published. It cannot change anything.
  • Private. Your assistant sends us only the words it searches for, never your whole chat. We don’t save them.
  • Always linked. Answers point to the full stories on this site, where every source is listed.
  • Works in other AI apps too. Any app that supports MCP, the open standard for connectors, can use the same address.
