Pennsylvania law requires labels on misleading AI ads

Governor Josh Shapiro signed the Artificial Intelligence Deceptive Advertising Act on October 22, and it starts in 60 days. Ads that use AI-made images, video or sound in a way that misleads buyers about a product must say so, or face a fine of up to $3,000.

Pennsylvania now has a law against misleading AI content in ads. If an ad uses content made or changed by AI in a way that gives a false picture of a product or service, it must clearly say that it contains AI content. The law starts 60 days after the October 22 signing.
