A keychain for your AI agent
The surprise was Muse Charm, a small device built for talking to Muse. Zuckerberg said it fits on a keychain. Engadget reports that it has a small display and a fingerprint sensor in one corner.
Meta did not give a price. According to Engadget, Meta aims to ship the Charm in time for the holidays in December. Meta itself says it will share more later this year.
Engadget’s Kris Holt summed up the problem for buyers: “We know barely anything about it”.
The Charm has no price yet. Muse arrives on Meta’s AI glasses in the coming months.
Glasses with and without screens
Ray-Ban Meta Audio are Meta’s first audio glasses. They play sound through open-ear speakers and work with Meta’s AI, but they have no camera.
They start at $349. Preorders opened on September 23, and the glasses ship on October 13. Meta says the battery lasts up to 12 hours, and Android Headlines reports that they weigh 43 grams.
Meta also announced VR Glasses, a virtual reality device shaped like glasses. They weigh about 100 grams because the processor, battery and storage sit in a separate puck. They will cost $1,299.99 and arrive in spring 2027.
Muse gets more jobs
Muse will come to Meta’s AI glasses in the coming months. Users will start it by saying their agent’s name.
Meta also showed avatars that let people video chat with Muse in real time. TechCrunch reports that this feature is coming soon.
New partners include Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Wayfair, Shopify, and PayPal. According to TechCrunch, Zuckerberg said Muse will be “free for a huge number of tokens”, with Meta earning “a small fee from transactions”.
Not everyone is convinced. Engadget’s Will Shanklin wrote that Muse on glasses “sounds like more of a convenience than a necessity”.
