Apple Creator Studio is Apple’s subscription for its creative and office apps, such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Keynote and Pages. Its November update brings AI assistants to four of them.
What the assistants do
In Keynote, the assistant helps with “designing, animating, and refining slides”, Apple says. In Pages, it drafts and restructures text. In Numbers, it calculates, visualises and organises data, and suggests chart types.
Apple says the assistant in these three apps is built on Apple models and OpenAI. It does not name an OpenAI model.
Logic Pro for Mac gets a separate assistant, powered by a combination of Apple-built and third-party models. Apple says it can help start a new song or set up a vocal track from a single prompt.
From Apple’s announcement of October 27, 2026. Arriving in November, in beta.
A door for outside agents
Keynote, Pages and Numbers also add support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a common standard for connecting AI agents to apps. Apple says it lets external agents and tools read content, make edits and run automated actions in the apps.
MCP support needs macOS 27, so it works only on the Mac. Apple does not list it for Logic Pro.
Apple has not said how users approve an agent’s access, or how unwanted changes are stopped, heise notes.
Who gets it, and what is unclear
Both assistants are in beta and work in US English only. The office assistant needs an Apple Intelligence-capable device with iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27. The Logic Pro assistant needs such a Mac.
The update arrives in November, free for existing subscribers. New subscribers pay $12.99 a month or $129 a year in the US, and students and teachers pay $2.99 a month.
Apple has not said where the assistant runs, or what data from users’ documents goes to OpenAI. heise raised both questions, and Apple’s announcement does not answer them.

What the assistants do is Apple’s own description, and nobody outside Apple has tried them yet. Apple names OpenAI only for Keynote, Pages and Numbers, so we do not link it to Logic Pro.

Apple adds AI assistants and outside-agent access to its office apps, but open questions about data sent to OpenAI and agent controls temper the gain. How we rate the mood
The mood shows how the news frames the event for the tech and AI world: as an opportunity (6 and above) or as a loss (below 5). It is not our verdict on who is right.
