AIforce connects Salesforce records and workflows to Claude, Slack, Amazon tools, and Gemini Enterprise. The idea is useful, but each action still depends on access rules, review, and clear availability.
New to this? Read it in simple words
- Salesforce introduced AIforce at Dreamforce on September 15. It lets people reach Salesforce data and actions from tools like Claude and Slack.
- Salesforce says the Claude connection includes 37 sales skills, such as meeting preparation. Amazon and Google say their tools can also use Salesforce data.
- This can remove many clicks. But it can also hide where a fact came from or what will change.
- Salesforce says existing access rules still apply, but each connection needs a real test. Some parts are available now, while others are in testing or planned.
- Interface
- The screen or tool that people use to work with a computer program.
- Permissions
- Rules that decide who can see or change certain data.
Salesforce is moving work outside the normal Salesforce screen
AIforce is a new interface layer over Salesforce data, rules, and actions. A worker can ask a question in another tool. The answer can use customer records and prepare a change without opening the main Salesforce app.
The first versions include links to Claude, Slack, and Agentforce Coworker. Salesforce says the Claude connection includes 37 sales skills. These cover tasks such as company research, meeting preparation, pipeline review, and draft record updates.
The design can remove many clicks. It can also hide where a fact came from or what will change. A useful AI screen should show the source record, the planned action, and the person who must approve it.

AIforce connects Salesforce actions to Claude, Slack, AWS, and Google tools. Important changes still need a visible approval gate.
Amazon and Google add different routes into the same business data
AWS says Amazon Quick can use Salesforce context and actions. AWS agents can also appear in Slack. A new link between Amazon Connect and Agentforce Voice is meant to support two-way voice work between the services.
Google Cloud says Gemini Enterprise can use Salesforce data and capabilities without a custom connection for every task. Salesforce has also started running live Hyperforce traffic on Google Cloud. A wider North American release is planned for November.
Many parts have different release stages. Some are available now, while others are beta, preview, or planned. Buyers should check the exact region, price, data path, and support level before they change an important workflow.
Permissions become part of the user experience
Salesforce says requests keep the access rules that a company already uses. It also says model providers do not keep the business data after answering. These are important claims, but each connection needs a real test.
Teams should begin with read-only work. They can test whether the assistant finds the right record and cites it clearly. Write access should come later, with approval for messages, customer changes, purchases, or other high-impact actions.
A good audit trail should record the user, model, source data, proposed action, approval, and final result. If the system makes a mistake, an administrator should be able to find the cause and reverse the change quickly.
