NAME CHECK 01
From a government word to a company name.

From Reuters, Forbes and Newsweek, and the White House order of September 29.

Why the new name

On September 29, Trump signed an order telling federal agencies to say “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in place of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI”.

SpaceXAI also signed the White House accord on AI the same day, CBS News reports. Musk did not say whether the new name is a legal change or only a new brand.

What is not known

Musk gave no date for the change. The company’s website and X account had not changed by Sunday, Reuters and Forbes report.

SpaceXAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment, Reuters says. Musk did not say whether the Grok name would change, Newsweek notes.

Some headlines said SpaceX itself would be renamed. The reports we checked describe only the AI unit, so we follow them.
